#8028 - RE: Any fast 8051?
Yes,

I can always count on you Peter! Greetings!

It is a PIC derivative(16C54 I think). He didn't ask for easy to program, he asked for FAST.

These new micros are blurring the lines between microcontroller and DSP. Microchip plans to release the dsPIC next year (I know, who cares). Soon we wont be able to so easily categorize the new devices. Keeping up is what makes it fun.

I want to get my hands on an 89C420 and see how it handles real time floating point calculations. Should be fun. I live a double life as instrumentation guy when I am not doing telecom.

Asa: What do you need all of this power for???????
