#82253 - Antennae Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Kaiwalya,
Antennae are never going to provide the kind of precision you seem to be looking for. It is possible to make antennae directional (e.g. the log array design), but even the most directional antennae have lobes. I would suggest rethinking your approach to use photodiodes to detect the line crossing, or some type of photoelectric beam sensor. On the other hand, you may have to use a video system to distinguish multiple cars crossing at the same time. Are the cars restricted to their own lanes? If so, a set of 8052s would be an excellent way to monitor the times at which the photo beam was broken on each lane. Give more details of exactly what your trying to do, and let's see if we can't come up with an idea that uses 8052s. Joe |
