In you application you not after efficiency - quite the opposite. Most systems I've seen have a loop around the start/finish line or a loop embedded in the track. My go-kart club track has a magnetic strip embedded in the track - detecting this is fairly easy.
Sounds like you're learning the fundamentals of electronics! At every point in your project you have had problems. I admire your persistance and I hope you see it through. The task you're doing is not an easy one. |
