#82558 - USB and COM ports Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Anyhow, to answer your question, how whine process com port assignments is an issue for a whine forum, not 8052.com. Windows re auto assign (still the wrong forum) "suggest" in some case which port to use, but usually you have to do that manually. I (having 12 COM ports active), do not recall any occasion where I did not have to specify. Erik Good thinking Erik. I needed a windoze input just to get an idea of what the applications would be expecting. Anyway, I visited the wine home page and there is a simple config file that allows you to assign any port to any com number. Ian |
