If you want to switch from AT89C5X to AT89S5X you must have a deep look into datasheet!! For instance, AT89S52 has two datapointers. If you use an instruction which addresses the datapointer you must select the according one in AUXR1 register. And this everytime you address the datapointer!
This is a typical expample, how not carefully reading the actual datasheet can make you run into big trouble. Kai |
