#83732 - Re: Timing Problem.
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Dear Ijaz,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Are all other timings same as with previous working system?
Are both micros used at either X6 or X12?

Its certainly not a timing problem both the derivativs ie. P89V51RD2 and P89C668 are used in X6 mode with same 8MHz crystal on board.

It doesn't seem to be a problem with LCD routines either. I tried displaying on LCD using some data in RAM that works absolutely fine with P89C668. The problem appears only when I try to display something from Internal Flash Code memory. It clearly seems to be MOVC related problem. I would like to mention that I am using Keil C for programming.

With P89V51RD2 everthing works fine but with P89C668 displaying from RAM works fine but when I try to read some data from code memory and try to display it It always display 'b' irresprective of the data there.

Its just a guess but I believe the problem has something to do with security bits and MOVC is not working. I tried clearing all security bits but the problem is not solved. I tried 3 diffrent virgin chips but yet no help.
