Ok, here's the deal. I'm trying to program an atmel at89c2051 chip to work in a premanufactured board. The have a shift register interfaceing DIP switches read on bootup to the chip (parallel input, serial output) I've got every single part of it working except for that... I've actually go the register responding properly, Problem is, they used p3.4 as the input from the register. Now, no matter whether the input is initialized high or low, or whether it's recieving a high or low input, it always senses high. P3.4 is also timer 0, I think maybe that's the problem? I've tried disabling all interrupts, but it didn't help... Does anyoen have any ideas?
