Thanks for your informative reply on WDT it will certainly help D.Mansoor. You Deserve a +1 for your kind efforts. But theres one thing I dont agree with. So if your program gets hang, then chances ARE that, this Timer value may never be resetted to 0000; hence the timer will overflow and execute the "ljmp 0000", so it is equivalent to processor Power-On-Reset. LJMP 0000 is not at equivalent to Power-on-Reset. Power on reset includes SFR initialisation which is not done by LJMP 0000. WDT overflow not just execute ljmp 0000 but also intialises micro SFR to their Power-on-reset value. Regards, Prahlad Purohit |
