#84305 - Who says 8051 can only Sink?
Dear Forum Members,

I have been working with LPC932A1 for quite some time believe me friends it is an ultimate 8051 micro with largest features/cost ratio & features/size ratio :-)

It has 2 clock core with max. 26 IO, 2 comparators, WDT, RTC, Keypad interrupt and lots of other features. It supports four modes on its ports. One of them is Push Pull mode In this mode It is capable of Sinking 20mA maximum and Souring 20mA maximum. With the max sink/source not exceeding 100mA per package. I tested the source current capabilites of this chip in order to prove it. Here are the test results. Hope they will be helpful....

Source Pin
Current Voltage

18.17mA 1.45V
 7.00mA 2.38V
 5.57mA 2.46V
 3.34mA 2.57V
 2.37mA 2.62V
 0.00mA 2.73V

When Supply voltage Vcc=3.1V
