ANY battery will explode, if treated wrong. The ICs mentioned above have the safety measures built in and a "design from scratch" may have a bug that lead to an explosion. Please do not try to make a battery charger from scratch without Reading up on battry characteristics Making a testbench, so you can test for validity without connecting a battery. Erik |
