Hi Peter,
The current prototype's raw capacities are such that we can cool down to -40 and back up again in about 7 minutes, whereas we were looking at 15-20 minutes before (!) So the cooling POWER is certainly there, but not (yet) controllability. The module is only 70W, but the backing system is probably nearer 400W.I am now relying on the relatively low thermal resistance of the Peltier cell to allow the mechanical system to do most of the work.
