For driving stepper you will need to use some sort of buffering circuit that can source and sink current enough for driving your stepper. If you are not planning to operate the motor at high RPM you can use a non-chopper drive say built with a PUSH PULL driver such as L293D. For high RPM stepper operations you need to use a chopper drive check out the datasheets of L297 and L298D for more information on chopper drive application circuits. Regards, Prahlad |
