LCD's are driven with an AC voltage. The common is called a backpane - feed this signal and the required segment into a cmos xor gate (4070??) and this will remove the AC signal. You could also use the microprocessor to do this - the backplane signal would drive the interrupt and your code would interpret the signals. Watch the signal levels though! I would suggest you use an oscilloscope to do some measurements. |
