#88122 - remarks
Responding to: ???'s previous message
1. The ports are open drain (collector) - a transistor that switches to ground. If you connect it to ground, nothing happens. If you don't connect it directly to VCC, nothing happens.

2. You don't return from the sndchr routine; rather, you fall through to delay; hence duration of delay is given by the transmitted character. I don't think this is what you intended to do.
My advice: get rid of the delay altogether; rather, check for ti
wait_tx: jnb ti,wait_tx

3. You fall through from crlf to sndchr, possibly transmitting some garbage (zero) character (and if you get rid of the delay routine, transmitting cr twice).
