Epascal supports ASM and END, anything in there has assembler syntax and bounds checking. Do 'C's have that too ?

It does, but the Keil implementation stinks. If you use e.g. HiTech it is seemless. For other reasons, most of us use Keil and are thus stuck with "the inline is crap, use a separate module".

If you use inline with Keil 1) the whole module becomes asm for debugging purposes and 2) the compile becomes a 3 step process.

Well, I do not have any software that I have no beef with, so no surprise, I have beefs with Keil. This happens to be my main beef with Keil.
