#88578 - Connecting LCD and Keypad to 8051
Hello everybody !
I intend to connect the lcd panel direct to the 8051 port without using address decoder, my approach is as follows:
LCD CONNECTION
P1.0 ;DB0
--- ;---
--- ;---
p1.7 ;DB7

P3.5 ;RW
P3.6 ;RS
P3.7 ;EN

KEYPAD CONNCETIONS
Matrix Encoded Keypad (74C922 16-key encoder)
The keypad is connected to the encoder the output connections of encoder are
DOUT A
DOUT B
DOUT C
DOUT D
DA TO 7404N(INVERTER)

Is it Ok to connect the out puts of key encoder A,B,C,D to 8051 Port P0 pins P0.0,P0.1,P0.2,P0.3. and DA to P3.3

IS IT OK? If not, what should be the correct procedure.

Regards

Yogesh
