#88618 - selling antiques as new Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I am learning this from Jan Axelson Book "The Microcontroller Idea Book" copyright 1994, 1997 by Jan Axelson and still sold
This goes to show how ruthless publishers are. Just think of what has been introduced (and obsoleted) since 1997. I have not seen this book, but based on the date have no doubt that the novice is led through external program memory and all that, where, today, a beginner can pop in an ICP chip and GO. Of course, there will be nuggets of validity in any '51 book regardless of its age, but using a book of that vintage as "I am learning this from" is not a good idea. Erik |
