#88697 - re: point
Responding to: ???'s previous message
ok ill try and explain it in more detail. Im not actually using T2 but im using the T2 pin which is P1.0 to enable my L297. Im doing an internet controlled webcam so im using a pan and tilt system. i was using just 1 clock for the 2 L297's that im using but when i disable the pan L297 the camera drops because it has no hold. therefore i want to keep the L297's permanently enabled and just add the clock to the needed L297.

For example

Pin 3.4 clocks the pan
Pin 3.5 clocks the tilt

i need around 60hz because that steps the motors at the speed i want. any faster frequency makes the motors move too quick.

i was going to use:-

T0 for 3.4 clock and T1 for 3.5 clock

BUT... Im using T0 to set the baud rate for my serial because i need it to receive a ascii character from the PC to tell it whether to step up, down, left or right.

I was going to use 1 clock to control both the pan and tilt but then i cant keep the tilt stepper held because i will have to disable that motor to stop it from stepping when i want to move the pan.
