#8870 - RE: Menu |
Oleg, remember that in this day and age bi/multi-lingual menus are the norm. One way to handle that is by using message numbers in the menu descriptions and having a routine "print message by number".
Somewhere in the thread is a mention of linked lists, please do'nt go there. I remember some years ago making a multi-lingual system (51 8052's controlled from a PC) and not knowing the alternate language I kept asking for someone to provide me with the messages translated. Well, for testing purposes I stuck my "translation" such as "exit" translated to "get the F* out", "bad input" translated to "idiot" etc. into the code. After a salesman showed it to a customer I got the translations the next day. |
