#90674 - Speeds?? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Is the RD2 operating at higher OSC frequency than the 89C52 from before?
Have you done all the things you should have already considered including the use of proper grounds planes, bypass capacitors, etc etc ? Is the newer platform with the RD2 and the SPI operating at a much higher data rate to the ADC chip? Are the SPI port pins to the ADC now operating with push pull I/O pins instead of quasi-bidirectional I/O pins as before when you tried the bit-bang approach with the simpler microcontroller? Is there something about the use of the ADC ready line from the ADC where you are putting a huge load on this pin and thus injecting big noise back into the ADC? Your answers to these questions may cause you to look closer at the newer RD2 design. Michael Karas |
