its the main argument of all PIC-fighters, that they are muchly reliable, so I wonder to hear the opposite -;)
On my experience reliability problems based mostly on bad layouts or schematics without decoupling circuits (capacitors, resistors, supressor diodes). I made no bad experience with all my 8051. Especially my AT89C4051 at -5000V inside the 5000eV electron gun control unit works very reliable. So I was really in doubt, that any PIC can be better, Peter |
