If the tuning would be linear (I doubt), this rage would give a step approx. 100kHz - which, as Erik pointed out, would be far too much to enable "much better than 1% accuacy". Although the "tuning curve" could be more steep at the 12MHz end and having finer steps around the rated frequency 7.37MHz... My concern about the FLASH comes from the AVR's datasheet, where it is warned against FLASH/EEPROM programing during excessive detuning (more than +-10%), as the FLASH/EEPROM write timing is derived from this oscillator. So I would like to know, how is the FLASH write timed in the LPC9xx parts. Maybe I will simply try and see... Jan Waclawek |
