Have you pointed out that they are needlessly complicating the issue? Have you asked them to give you a more sensible combination? If you are working for an idiot, I feel sorry for you, if not, you need to point out the problems putting a 3.3v chip between 2 5V devices. Lattice, for one, have excellent 5V CPLD/FPGA whatever you want to call them chips. It is not the job of an engineer to mindlessly do what (s)he is told, if that was the case, why on earth would an engineer be employed instead of a draftsman. Erik |
