It is a rather good way to show your skill in programming, and also the dept of your understanding of how the program works, and ofcourse your technique on managing the numbers especially the floating points numbers in the 8 bits integer world. So long as you view this only as an excercise - the 8051 is a controller, and not really well suited to calculations in real-world applications. As ever, discuss it with your tutor(s) - they are the only one who can really tell you whether it's appropriate to your course requirements! |
