but It appears the micro that they return isnt what I supplied they reurn some other micro and get a new working micro which they put in their boards and sell. How to varify It was same micro?
Are you saying that the sneaky guys destroy a processor and ask for a replacement to get the code? That is ingenious. I would suggest you get a non-removable sticker (Avery) and use that for the "version info" on top of the chip. These stickers can not be removed and reattached without it being obvious. Another way would be to solder the uC in, that way you would get the board, not just the chip. To get the existing population soldered, come up with something like "the reason the chips blow is the socket, so I need to get the board so I can solder the chip in". I hate to suggest to anyone that they should lie, but when dealing with thieves, you may have to. Erik |
