Aren't there any other simply achievable callibration points?
you could do what mr Fahrenheit did: get very excited (or a bit sick) and up yours is 100F and freezing point of mercury is 0F.

Or as Mr. Celsius did: crushed water and ice = 0C boiling water = 100c

Mr. Reamur did like Mr Celsius, but did not know how to count to 100, so he had to stop at 80.
