TIP: If you want to know the electronics, learn assembly language. It is the ultimate control over the microcontroller. Everything is unmasked in assembly language. The more you discover with it, the higher your guru-potential.
Higher level languages like C would be better learned after you know the microcontroller thoroughly. C is required for the job market. My observation is those that quickly jump into C are seduced by the virtual comforts and find microcontrollers, assembly language and circuitry too physical. The automotive analogy might be that you learn more working on your old Chevy than you do after you buy a Porshe and let the mechanics do all the work. :) That's just my opinion. aka j http://www.geocities.com/mingpzong |
