#93369 - Smallest 8051 device with UART |
Hi,
I know there has been a thread regarding the smallest 8051 "tout court", but what I want is (slightly???) different. I'm searching for the smallest 8051 DIP/DIL version, which has an enhanced UART (9 bit mode) and a few IO pins. 128 bytes RAM should be enough and a few K of (perferrable flash) RAM should also do the job. Does someone know a device that meets that requirement? I've looked in the PIC world and there I can find small (even DIP/DIL) devices, but none of them seems to have the enhanced UART feature on board. Apparently, the 8051 is the only one having this interesting extra UART functionality? Best rgds, --Geert |
