#93404 - Alternate device Responding to: ???'s previous message |
At the risk of having an "off topic" ban applied to this question, actually almost any micro can be "fiddled" to provide this capabilty in a way similar to the PC. I have done it for the Cypress PSoC. It also is available in a 8 pin DIP and will meet all the requirements that you posed. I developed an app note for this device, but it is written in C so you should have no problem in adapting it to any UART that has a parity bit.
