#93380 - I use........
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Reset circuit
I have kept options:
On shorting a jumper my reset is connected to a simple RC and while on shorting to the other jumper reset is connected to a watchdog circuit of a monostable multivibrator of 74HC123

Which micro controller you are using?
MSC1210Y5 from TI (8051 core)

Have you seen what happens on +5V line and Reset with an oscilloscope?
Yes, there is no noticeable spike on the analog and digital power supply when observed on a CRO. But when I put an inductor (ferrite bead) as mentioned in FAQ along with a 0.1microFarad Cap, the problem was solved.

Brownout Level Select is set in such a way that Brownout reset occur only1```````` if supply goes below 2.5V i.

Now since this instrument is to be used in Industries, it should have good noise resistance. To check this by placing a contactor near my controller and switching it. It was giving reset on every switching of the contactor. What else can be done to solve this problem……..?
