Your phone might not use EEPROM. If it does, 10ms is about double most worst case erase times nowadays. Also, most EEPROMs have a page write mode whereby you can erase/program a page at a time (e.g., 64 bytes) for the same 'cost' as a single byte write. Another thing to consider is that an 'erase all' function might not need to erase every location, but only set/clear a single bit per phone number entry to flag it as logically 'erased' (i.e., available to be overwritten). |
