#93699 - What kind of package??? Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Righard:
If the existing microcontroller is a 24 pin DIP I am finding it somewhat hard to believe that an adapter could not be made. If I were making it and there was no space for a DIP socket then an adapter with a surface mount TQFP-32 or TQFP-44/48 could be made in a manner that two rows 12 pins could be soldered right where the existing chip was mounted!! To keep it thin the PC board could be made of 0.032" thick material. It really gets down to how much you treasure the existing keyboard board and if you want to take the time and expense to make the adapter. I'm confident that it could be done......On the other hand only you can judge if it is worth the effort. Michael Karas |
