#95339 - C35 , RS-232 & USB Responding to: ???'s previous message |
PLease clarify thta for what purpose you want to connect C35 to PCs ?
C35 stands for Seimens GSM Modem which is available seperately for embedded appl and also comes in built with some Mobiles Models. It is not very clear from Siemes sites which mobiles model has in built GSM modem (or support/emulate AT GSM command set). If you has got such model then either you purchase RS-232 serial data cable (not USB)or make simple circuit using MAX-232. But for that You have to get mobile phone connector. If you want PC Connectivity only then you can get hold of any Nokia / Erricson / Motorola mobile model having GRPS. All GRPS mobiles support GSM AT command set but they come with USB data cable. These data cable along with USB driver software is available easily (and at very low cost). You load USB driver on your PC. Then you can use hyper-terminal. USB port is mapped as COM3/ COM4 / COM6. You can use AT all GSM commands with no problem of baud rate etc. |
