#95340 - Pinout Responding to: ???'s previous message |
1 - GND - leftmost pin
5 - marked Tx - serial data output from phone 6 - marked Rx - serial data input to phone Leave other pins unconnected! (will come back to those...) You need level convertor. The phone levels are 3V. Most of the "data cable" "constructions" use MAX232 AND zener diodes, limiting the levels from and to phone to 3V - while these might work (for trial), for a proper connection I would recommend you to find a proper 3V part (e.g. MAX3232 or equivalent). This should work with the phone in "normal" mode. On PC, don't forget to turn off the hardware handshake, and set 19200/8N1. CTS is an OUTPUT from the phone, indicating, that the phone is not able to accept more data (e.g. during data connection). For first attempt you don't need to connect it. DTC is what is normally called DCD and indicates, that a data connection has been established. Jan Waclawek |
