#95437 - Easy USB |
How to add basic USB(slave) control to a PCB in easiest way, and for a modest price?
There are quite a few USB bridges, most of them with '52 derivatives inside, but most of them are definitely overkill, surface-mounted, tons of functionality I'd never use. Right now I need 2 standard 5V output bits, no inputs, very moderate speed (about 100bps peak), just a simple USB switch. I was pondering a standard DS9490R USB to 1-wire driver, plus a dual (or 2 single) 1-wire switches, which would be very nice from the electronics side, but not quite so from the PC software point of view. I was pondering these USB-to parallel converters, but they aren't quite cheap. Maybe there are cheap and easy to include USB microcontrollers you'd recommend, or some other handy solutions?
