Without the wheel I wouldn't have a wheelbarrow which would make gardening real hard work. Can't think of much else, though. "Are we any better off having cars and computers etc" No. We spend our lives buying things to use to earn money to pay for them. It's a never ending spiral of stupidity. "I doubt if ultimately all of this has improved the human condition" I totally agree with you. |
