That is your final year project, but could you let us know what other options do you have to select from.

I agree with others that you should go about much much simpler option.

See, you not only asked, which pin to power and which pin to ground, (akin to asking, which seat is used to drive and where is the trunk of the car, if you want to drive rightaway), but also mentioned to push the analog signal straight into micro. (hope you didn't mean a micro with ADC on board).

I don't understand which kind of colleges are where Lecturers don't do their work themsleves. Students who opt to work with micros got to start messing up with them at a least a year prior to the last moment in the year.
