IAP requires ISP - and then some! It is most certainly not the same thing!
I disagree, I think you got it revrsed as a "typho" I will say the opposite "ISP require IAP" with the caveat that the IAP required by the ISP may not be "publicly available". And now there is, again an exception, some SILabs chips have JTAG ISP and totally separate mechanisms for IAP. Oh, well, now I have confoosed myself. Again, those I know The Philips P89x51Rx2 chips have ISP via the serial port that uses the IAP routines in ROM/Flash The Philips P89LPXxxx serise have IAP routines used by the ICP, which, for the larger versions is used by the ISP (the smaller variants have only ISP and ICP).
