#98567 - Source code useless Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I have not seen any, is it standalone or integrated with the compiler/linker/whatever other tool? I've seen them separate - dunno about anything specifically for the 8051, though. :-( My point is, the compiler knows what is the source/it's "fundamental" blocks ... My point is that this is of no use whatever - what you require can only be done by examining the generated code. ... and the corresponding assembler output so the compiler is the best place where I would expect to such "profiling" should be integrated into. Actually, that's not quite true - things like Keil's LX51 Linker & the Raisonance CodeCompressor can perform further optimisations after the compiler has finished! |
