I would be very weary of using this chip "to the limits", the dissapation will be enormous. Say you use it for RGB where you need, say, 3V for blue and 1V for red ( a bit off, but easy for calculation).
Now with a 4V supply you would have the chip "eating" 1V for blue, 2V for green and 3V for read (average 2V) So for 34 LEDs at 15Ma (~500mA) you would have 1W of dissapation in a PLCC44 package - not so good. Of course, there is no problem using this chip for a monochrome displat if the Vled is matched well enough, just raising the thing to look out for. Erik |
