I put some led on the "Data" and "Clock" so I could see if something was actually getting to the chip and I believe it is.
you will not get far with "believe", what makes you "believe" a) they are there, b) they are in proper phase?. also "put some led on" typically destroy the logic levels. Pin 1 grounded. Pin 20 5 volts. Pin 19 is wired to P1.1 (used that becasue I didn't know if I needed a full 5 volts there) the chip comes in several packages, if you do not mention which package pin numbers are meaningless. Erik |
