I hacked it to gain full access of course. I have two of these things. I got the first one at the local computer superstore for a hundred bucks. I got the second one at the local used books/electronics/etc store for $40. One of them runs Debian Linux. Its primary use is still as a NAS device, but it also runs a backup name server. The ssh server is enabled so my backup scripts can scp across the network (or from the outside world) instead of relying on drive mounting. I really should get the disk mirroring working, though. =-a |
