The EVB for the MICREL ARM9 with the switch matrix in it came on a board priced at $200 with all the stuff necessary to run LINUX, too. It wanted a PC as a terminal, which it ran in full graphics mode, BTW, but aside from that, it was complete. The chip, initially, was priced at $18 but I suspect, now that it's in full production, is cheaper now. It ran at 150 MIPs, BTW.
