Hi Oliver,
When I bought my machine (by far the most expensive step) I had two prototyping choices. I could go to one of several local shops in Dallas and get my board in a few days. However, even though they would make a single board for me, they would still charge me for a whole panel (around $1,200 to $1,500 depending on the shop). My other choice was to go to an off-shore site where I could get 4 or 5 boards made for around $200, but I would have to wait weeks to get my board. Today, my board cost is less than yours, but not so much as you might think. Even so, if I could have gotten my prototype boards at the prices you do, and in a timely fashion (a week or so), I'd have made the same choice as you. Joe |
