#181336 - Overvoltage protection |
Hello,
To protect a powerinput (9VDC, max 1A) against overvoltage I want to use a thyristorbased crowbar. This a very simple circuit. I want to use a polyfuse / ptc based device to replace to standard fuse. I have been reading about polyfusesm and simular devices that they loose trip point accuracy when they have tripped a few times. This is not a situation I want. Does anyone here have any experience with these devices? Or are there chips / components which have the whole crowbar functionallity? Thanks in advance ! |
