hi,

As for everyone who uses something other than an 11.059Mhz, what do you use? Are there any other crystals that produce a wide range of baud rates, perhaps just not as close, as the 11.059? I have used 18,432MHz to obtain most baudrates. In fact you may found useful information in datasheets about UART bootloaders. For example, Atmel AT89C51CC03 UART bootloader datasheet shows most possible combinations of frequences and supported baudrates at pages 8 and 9. Just one note: this answer depends on derivatives and their features built-in. There are derivatives with x2 mode, with enhanced timer, with PLL, with additional baud rate generator etc. Regards, Oleg |
