#102037 - crystals
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Jan, I simply didn't have any more 11.0592Mhz xtals left. All I had was an 8, couple of 20s, and a 3.57. And I had to pull those from old boards lol. Crystals aren't something I really kept on hand, then I got into these 8051s, really being the first digital chips I ever used that needed them. All the uC b4 were like the BS2, that had the stuff on board; or I worked with digital like the 4000 or 74000 series, using a 555 for a clock. xtals are really old school, but they're new to me. heh
