#103298 - interfacing serial eeprom or other? |
I'm getting the go ahead to start that digital recorder
I was looking at. I'm needing a large external memory source, eeprom or flash preferred. I like the ease of use with the SBC and its eeprom, so I went over to Atmel but the largest they make is 1Mb which is just not enough. Are there any other companies that make densities higher than this, but organized 8 bits wide? Also, I was reading the forums in the past, and I believe it was Jan who said that compact flash cards cannot be interfaced directly because entire 512 byte locations must be read in sequence. Are there any other easy ways to interface this, as opposed to using complex external dram circuitry? |
