Well, fluourescent lights are certainly an excellent source of all sorts of electromegnetic trash!
Especially when you turn them on: the starter effectively uses the ballast coil as a spark-gap transmitter! With 2 feet of unshielded ribbon cable, it's probably not that surprising that you could get problems - especially with high-impedance signals (which CMOS tends to be). |
