#104424 - What you need is a solid ground plane Responding to: ???'s previous message |

I had no idea my breadboard was no good, altho I should have suspected. Maybe I'll do the whole thing on the PJRC dev board. Would wire-wrapping be okay? What you need, dear Peter, is a PCB containing a solid ground plane! Providing a path for fast digital signals is more than connecting point a to point b: Wave packets are travelling along transmission lines formed by signal traces and solid ground plane! To learn more about solid ground planes type "solid ground plane" into the search window. I have written many many posts about this important issue here. Bread boards can work under certain conditions. But only for very very tiny projects, if at all! Kai |
